About Games by Teachers

Why we made this

Kids love game sites. Most of them are built for ad views, not for kids: games nobody vetted, games that teach nothing, and a lot of noise in between. Teachers see this every day.

Games by Teachers is the alternative. It's a curated collection of browser games made by real teachers. Some are learning games that practice exactly what a class is working on. Some are just fun. All of them were made by someone who spends their days with kids and knows what's appropriate.

Two shelves

• Learning games have an academic goal: math facts, spelling, typing, science and more. Each one lists the skills it practices and the grades it fits.
• Fun games don't need a lesson plan. They're still made by teachers, so they're made with kids in mind.

What we promise

• Every game is made and vetted by a teacher.
• Games are free to play, right in the browser, with nothing to install.
• We are building this as a platform where teachers who make games share in what the site earns.
